Mountain Vacation/Babymoon

Last week we had an opportunity to get up to North Georgia for a little R&R! And, boy, was it wonderful! I don't think we realized how long it had been since we connected as just a family unit. We are usually visiting people or doing life. We were so blessed to be given a week at a friends cabin and the Lord was so faithful to renew us. Thank you Hach family. It was great to spend some quality time with Mavis-I think she loved having Mommy and Daddy at her beckon call. Here are a few of my favorite pics from the week. just a fun fact...

Thought I would give you all some insight into Camille's name. Her full name will be Evelyn Camille Sumner, but we will call her Camille. Jake and I both agreed on Camille and loved the name, which means perfect. However, we couldn't find a middle name that we both loved. Finally after many months of talking and me stressing over what our little girl's name would be-Jake busted out Evelyn. I loved it and was proud that he came up with it all by himself, which he also did with Amelia for Mavis. So, I asked him what it meant. We looked it up and to our surprise it was even more perfect than we could have planned. Mavis means "songbird." Evelyn, we found out, means "beautiful bird!" So, you see, it had to be Evelyn Camille. Keep checking for updates. We are hoping she comes soon!

we've moved...

Yes, the Sumner family blog is moving. We will no longer be at mavisamelia.blogspot because it isn't just Mavis any more! Camille is coming fast into this world and we want to be ready. Please update your info and stay tuned for pics of our newest member. We are expecting her any day now!!
