Beautiful Baby Ballerinas

Mavis started preschool a couple of weeks ago. As an after school activity, she is taking ballet! I'm so excited and have been waiting for this day for some time now. My sister and I danced while growing up and can't wait to Mavis and Camille to do the same. There is something about dance that helps little girls become young ladies:) She was adorable! Even though she was the youngest and smallest, she held her own. When she came out of class she ran up to me and said, "Mommy! That...was...SOOOO...fun! Can we do it again?!?" Here is a little video from her big day!

Yellow River Game Ranch

We headed to the Yellow River Game ranch on Labor Day. Probably the busiest I've ever seen it:) but, we had a great time nonetheless. Here's Miss Mavis feeding a few hungry animals...she has no fear. I think she'd stick her whole had in their mouth if we'd let her!

First Day of Pre-School!!!

Mavis is officially a preschooler! I can't believe she is growing up so fast! She is attending at our church 2 days a week from 9:30-1pm. She was so excited to get started and couldn't wait to wear her backpack! :) Her teachers Mrs. Martha and Mrs. Nancy were so sweet and said that Mavis was very polite all day. Thank goodness practicing all those manners are paying off! Here's some pics of our little lady heading off to school! So cute...check it out!

Waffle House King

Well, all of Jake's wildest dreams are now a reality. He has always known he was the world's biggest fan of Waffle House- but, now, even Waffle House recognizes his love of greasy eggs and cheese! He has been chosen, unbeknown to us, to be the Waffle House Regular guy on the 55th anniversary collectors pin. That's right, folks! He is the official Waffle House mascot and reigning King of Cheese and Eggs. We couldn't be more proud! The funniest part of this whole thing is we had no idea this was going to happen! Read THIS for the full story.
Here is the pin and Daddy and Mavis celebrating their "celebrity status!" Ha! Good times at the Sumner house.
